Hear from guests who have experienced leopard sightings, elephant encounters, and the extraordinary wildlife of Yala National Park on a private Block 1 and Block 5/6 jeep safari.

The private morning safari inside Yala Block 1 was beyond anything we expected. We saw two leopards within the first hour and our naturalist guide knew exactly where to position the jeep. An unforgettable experience.

Everything was perfectly organized. The private jeep, the naturalist guide's depth of knowledge about Yala's leopards, and the wildlife were all spectacular. We saw three leopards, two sloth bears, and elephant herds in a single morning.

We saw leopards resting on rocks, elephant herds crossing the Menik River, and flamingos at Palatupana Lagoon all in one morning. The private Block 1 safari at Yala is absolutely a must-do for anyone visiting Sri Lanka.

Our naturalist guide knew every individual leopard in Block 1 by name and rosette pattern. He explained the leopard's territory, hunting behavior, and history in detail. The experience was personal, safe, and deeply memorable. Thank you Yala Jeep Safaris.

We did the full day safari covering both Block 1 and Block 5/6. Block 1 delivered the leopard sightings we came for, but Block 5/6 in the afternoon was something else entirely. Just our jeep, complete silence, and undisturbed elephant herds. Magical.

We booked the private morning safari inside Block 1 and the difference from a shared group safari is enormous. Our guide's full attention, no compromises on positioning, and all the time we needed at each sighting. Will absolutely return to Yala.

Thanks to our expert guide we spotted a leopard hunting in the early morning, a sloth bear foraging in the rocky scrub, mugger crocodiles along the Menik River, and dozens of bird species at Palatupana Lagoon. Absolutely world class wildlife experience.

Entering Block 1 at 6:00 AM with the golden light just coming up and finding a leopard on a rock within twenty minutes was one of the greatest wildlife moments of my life. The guide, the jeep, and the whole experience were perfectly managed.
